The dance floor is the largest uninterrupted surface at any event and almost always the least considered. Most venues give you worn parquet, patterned hotel carpet or scuffed vinyl, and replacing a floor for one night isn’t an option. A custom printed dance floor solves it in a single layer.

This is a printed floor covering, not dance floor hire — you keep the artwork, and the price is the same whether you order it for a wedding, a product launch or a club night.
Custom Printed Dance Floors for Events
Every floor we print is made to order. There is no catalogue of fixed designs to choose from and no standard size to design around — you give us the dimensions and the artwork, and that is what gets printed.
The material is 510gsm PVC vinyl with a matte surface, printed at 720dpi. Matte matters on a floor more than anywhere else in a venue: a gloss surface throws uplighters and spotlights straight back into the camera, washing out both the artwork and the people standing on it. Matte holds colour depth under stage lighting and photographs cleanly from above, which is how dance floors are almost always shot.
The floor lays over the venue’s existing surface, stays put for the event, and lifts away afterwards without marking anything underneath. For venues with deposit conditions on their flooring, that’s a practical benefit as much as a decorative one.

Personalised Dance Floor Graphics Made to Size
We print to whatever you measure. The most commonly ordered event floor sizes are 10ft × 10ft, 12ft × 12ft, 14ft × 14ft and 16ft × 16ft, but marquee and home setups often run 8ft × 8ft, and large corporate builds go to 20ft × 20ft and beyond.
Our maximum single-panel print width is 3.2m. Anything wider is hot-welded into one continuous sheet before it ships, so a 16ft floor arrives as one piece with the artwork running unbroken across it — no tiles to align on site and no gap down the middle.
Because dance floor vinyl is priced per square foot and the rate drops as area increases, a larger floor costs proportionally less than a small one. A 100 sq ft floor works out at roughly 23% less per square foot than a 12 sq ft panel.
Irregular shapes are not a problem. If your floor is L-shaped, has a pillar through it, or needs cut-outs for floor sockets and cable trunking, send us the measurements and we will build the artwork to fit around them.
Printed Dance Floor Wraps for Parties and Events
For private events — birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, graduations, christenings — a dance floor wrap does the thing that decorating the perimeter of a room cannot. It carries the colour scheme into the middle of the space where everyone actually is.
The layouts that work best for parties are simple and readable from standing height:
- Centre monogram or age number with a plain or lightly patterned surround
- Repeating patterns — geometric tiles, terrazzo, art deco linework, florals
- Surface effects — marble, polished concrete, dark wood, metallic gradients
- Photographic — night skies, city skylines, foliage, water
- Message floors — a name, a date or a phrase at the centre
Detail that looks impressive on a screen frequently disappears once people are standing on it. Bolder shapes and stronger contrast survive a crowded floor far better than fine linework does.

Add Logos, Artwork and Custom Designs
Upload print-ready artwork and we go straight to production. If you don’t have artwork, our free design service covers text and background layouts, and our professional design service builds full custom artwork with unlimited revisions until you sign it off.
For brand work, send the logo as a vector file wherever possible. A logo scaled to 12 feet across from a low-resolution PNG will show its edges; the same logo from an AI or EPS file prints sharp at any size. If vector isn’t available, send the largest raster version you have and we’ll tell you honestly whether it will hold up.

A digital proof is supplied before printing, so you see the full floor laid out at size and approve it before production starts. Our returns policy allows for a 10–15% colour variance from screen, which is normal for CMYK printing — where an exact brand colour is critical, supply a Pantone reference or request a printed sample first.
Dance Floor Printing for Corporate Events and Celebrations
For corporate clients the floor is usually the most valuable unused advertising space in the room. A logo printed at 12 feet across photographs better than any banner on a wall, appears in every guest’s own photographs without being asked for, and reads clearly in overhead event footage and drone shots.

How to Measure Your Dance Floor
Measure the floor, not the room.
- Measure the actual surface in feet or metres, at the floor itself rather than from a venue plan. Plans are frequently out by several inches.
- Add 50–100mm on each side if the graphic needs to tuck under a floor frame, trim or stage edge.
- Note any obstructions — pillars, floor sockets, cable runs, fixed fittings. Send us their positions and we’ll design around them so the pattern still aligns.
- Check the venue permits floor coverings. Some hotels restrict adhesives on certain floor types. One phone call before ordering saves a lot of trouble.
- Check the surface type. Printed vinyl sits best on smooth, flat, dry surfaces. Deep-pile carpet, heavily textured stone and wet surfaces are not suitable.
- Order as one piece where you can. Beyond 3.2m we hot-weld, which is still a single continuous sheet.

Choose the full printed floor when the venue’s flooring is the problem — worn parquet, loud carpet, a colour that clashes with your scheme. Choose dance floor stickers and decals when the floor already looks good and you want a monogram at the centre, directional arrows, or a sponsor logo in one corner. Plenty of events use both.
Artwork and Installation Guidance
We supply the printed floor only — installation is not included.
The standard approach is double-sided floor tape around the full perimeter, with additional runs across the centre on larger floors to stop the vinyl lifting or rucking underfoot. Where a floor frame or trim is being used, tucking the edge underneath gives the cleanest finish and avoids a visible tape line.
- Lay the floor on a clean, dry, dust-free surface. Anything trapped underneath shows through and creates a trip risk.
- Unroll and allow the vinyl to relax flat for 30 minutes before fixing, particularly if it has been shipped folded. Select the unfolded packing option at checkout for large floors where fold lines would be visible.
- Work from the centre outwards, smoothing as you go, rather than fixing all four edges first.
- Allow two people and around 30–45 minutes for a 10ft × 10ft floor.
- Remove slowly at an angle at the end of the event rather than pulling straight up.

Artwork and payment must both be finalised before 17:00 for your chosen production date to hold. All deliveries are tracked and you’ll receive a tracking number once the order leaves us.
For a weekend event, order by Wednesday on standard turnaround. Large floors ship folded as standard — select the unfolded option if fold lines would show in your artwork.
UK-Printed Dance Floors
Every vinyl dance floor wrap is printed in the UK on our own large-format machines, seven days a week from 10am to 7pm. Nothing is outsourced and nothing is shipped in, which is why a floor ordered on a Thursday morning can be on a venue floor by Friday night.
We print for wedding planners, event agencies, exhibition contractors and people organising their own parties, and we’re used to the timelines involved. If your date feels too tight, call us before you rule it out — same day production exists for exactly this.
